Technical Support Assistant Job Opportunity
We are looking for a Technical Support Assistant to join our Digital Bridges team.
This position is to assist with the delivery of our new Digital Skills and Multiply programme (Digital Bridges) funded by the Shared Prosperity Fund. The Digital Bridges project is designed to enhance delegates’ digital skills so beneficiaries can participate more fully in the digital society improving their employability prospects, financial skills, health and well-being. The project is structured to improve peoples’ confidence with numbers and managing money. The project will remove the barriers of skills and costs that prevent people from becoming digitally engaged and increase numeracy skills particularly in an online context . The project will recruit and train eligible 233 delegates.
This is an office-based position in central Swansea.
The job involves setting up laptops for delegate use, training room maintenance, general technical assistance.
The position is available from 1st May 24– 31st December 24.
We will consider job sharing.
Person Specification
No specific qualifications required. Must have good level of numeracy and literacy.
Experience
Ideally doing a similar job now. Relevant technical experience is essential.
Technical Competencies
Essential
Good technical skills – Microsoft Office Windows and Outlook.
Behavioural Competencies
Essential
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and resources effectively.
Good communication skills both spoken and written are essential for liaising with team members, stakeholders, and clients, as well as for writing reports and presenting project updates.
Effective Time Management skills
Attention to Detail
Adaptability: Projects often encounter unexpected challenges or changes. Must be flexible and adaptable, ready to adjust plans and strategies as needed.
