Deepen your understanding of Project to manage more sophisticated projects.
This course equips the user with a proficient knowledge of Microsoft Project. This training day starts with a review/refresher exercise covering the topics covered in our Level 1 course, followed by an exercise-driven exploration of such topics as critical tasks and slack time, resolving resource over-allocations, keeping track of the project and managing several projects simultaneously.
This is a day two of a two-day course running from 9:30 am - 4:30 pm.
Training is hands-on and tutor-led.
We provide a comprehensive training manual, lunch and certification.
Courses run at both Swansea and Cardiff locations.
This course can be run as a company specific event at your site or ours.

General review of existing knowledge and the
commands covered in Level 1.
How to identify, filter and sort a critical path.
Identifying slack time and how to change the default
Splitting a Task
If a resource is delayed or a task held up and how to
split a task.
How to resolve resource over-allocation, both
manually and by using levelling.
More ways to keep track of your project, including
baseline plans, interim plans, using the tracking
toolbar and updating actual work on a daily basis.
How to manage several projects simultaneously,
including consolidating projects and linking tasks
Creating a base project with tasks and resources
that are used on a regular basis, as a template for
Attendees will gain the maximum benefit if they have attended our Level 1 course, or are familiar with creating basic projects.
Delegates receive a Computeraid certificate of achievement.
This course covers material from the European Computer Driving Licence syllabus and contributes to an ITQ qualification.
Use an Access database to keep all your records. Design forms to enter your information easily and write queries to produce information to the criteria you specify. Print the results in a professional style report.
